Artist statement
Every few years painting is declared redundant, but painting, the oldest and most magical form of human creation carries on unaware of it's own demise. It is ancient. We should respect it for it's lineage. Painting is beyond the conceit of words. We are in danger of over-intellectualising the most ancient art we possess. Art goes as much to the heart as the head, and travels smoothly from an ancient cave wall to today's gallery space in an instant.
I feel privileged to be able to convey my thoughts and emotions onto canvas.
